Echo Say what you need to say, not what you hear others say

You are a bit weird.

I am, too!

That's good news!

(We were made that way)

But the bad news?

We think being weird is a bad thing.

We try our hardest to be un-weird.

To be like other people.

An echo of whom we follow on the internet.

But those people?

They're weird too.

(And probably just echoing whom they follow, too)

Because they're insecure.

Scared. Lost.

Aren't we all?

So who are we truly echoing?

A single brilliant individual?

Perhaps a combination of various recycled opinions.

Who are we trying to be?

I don't know anymore.

But what I do know is that we are too afraid to be ourselves.

So: I am working to abandon my long-held post

As an echo.

And instead of reflecting somebody else’s message,

I’m venturing to the interior.

In search of a message.

A purpose.

A unique voice.

Weird enough to be echoed.
